406 HDI some lucky person must have it.
I'm not sure.
'I' and 'Z' (the latter at least for the pre-2001 GB system) were reserved for the Irish plate system. I'm not sure if a ?DI plate ever existed?
Could have HDZ 406 or HJI 406 perhaps.
I bet those who registered a car in the "RCZ" series are now rubbing their hands and calling the likes of newreg for quotes. My old 406 was 'SCZ xxxx', just one letter out!
Speaking of numberplate formats, one of the things that cracks me up about American TV shows that decide to have a 'London' or 'England' episode is when they film it in an American film set.
US-style buildings, and they fill the street with EU-import cars with fake GB style plates, including the likes of 'AB66 CDE', 'A3135 BC' and other non-sensical travesties.
The cars themselves have small sized bootlid plate holders, so from the rear they have to mount the plate on the bumper. The likes of a Porsche Boxster the plate is just put on the front badly without a numberplate holder.
US-market style side repeaters and the occasional big-bumpered BMW or Volvo.
Old style taxis too that are mostly decommissioned in London.
