I don't use these guys myself, http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ but they've been recommended by our marketing company. They'll be able to sort out hosting for you too.

+1 to 123-reg, at least for domain registrations. They're dirt cheap to register with and offer a very comprehensive control panel (we have about 60 domains on ours!), although I've not heard brilliant things about their hosting.DaiRees wrote:I don't use these guys myself, http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ but they've been recommended by our marketing company. With regards to uploading etc, you may be best with an off the shelf content management system for the moment, things like Joomla or WordPress (originally was just a blog system but has quite good content management options too, I use it on my personal site).

I use one.com but haven't really got a proper website as such.
Any file uploads I do I just FTP to the site (you can open a Windows explorer window for example and just type ftp://domain.co.uk and it takes you there).
My dynamic stuff is all PHP based.
Your CMS system should be able to publish via FTP.
As mentioned, the likes of Wordpress can help you build a site.
