Life's a bitch!

Post by plod »

So, the misses has been waiting 15 years for me to sort the bathroom out

Managed to buy a new bathroom back end of December
Bought the flooring tiles in January
Bought a shower in February, then money fell short
Borrowed some money off the in laws to finish, and the plumber was in today to finish off
Came in:
Finished sink
Sealed most of bathroom
Fitted heated towel radiator
Fitted bath panel
Grouted wall tiles

Had two jobs left: fit shower screen, and grout floor
He half fitted glass shower screen, and had to nip out to his van, so I went in to clean up
Don't remember touching it, but next thing, shower screen came smashing down, and damaged sink
Screen is £150, don;t know how much for sink, and plumber wants another £50 to fit a new sink
Ran out of money, so god knows when it's going to be done

Had two cans of carlsberg, then downed a bottle of red wine, and now on third can of carlsberg to numb the pain

who fitted the screen ? is it not their fault it came crashing down ?

would be billing them, or not paying them for the job they done now.

Disco
Aye, the alcohol, is easing the pain, and i'm a bit happier about it now

Gary
If I never had gone in there, and it had come down, then yes, I would of insisted he paid for the damage, but because I was in there, I think I cooked my goose so to speak

Going to ask in the place I bought the bathroom from, if they'll look after me and do me a good deal

Iagree with gary,
if the work man hadnt secured it in place and hadnt warned you Its His Fault not yours!
did he warn you not to go Near it ?
if not id tell him to sort it at his Cost, its his fault not yours,

have you paid him for the work hes carried out ?
if not Refuse to pay him until his Dodgy work his Rectified,
hes lucky no children or other pearson was injured a work man shouid never leave any thing like that unatended,
id ask why he hadnt removed the screen before leaving it in a unsafe Manner,

Stand your ground and tell him hes in the wrong!
