Leather seat repair

I was tempted to put this in the interior forum, but it's not a 406.

The leather drivers seat had a bit of a rip when I bought it on the side, it is getting worse as I get in and out every day.

What is the best way for patching up a leather seat? It is a beige leather, bit darkened with age, so might be difficult to match and patch.

Take the car and have that panel retrimmed, then get a leather dye kit and repaint the whole seat/interior

But it's the seat itself that has a big rip in now

Just get the panel thats ripped trimmed or that whole seat. Then you can get kits online to repaint the leather

yup hes right, find a leather replair place (i have no idea where there is one in NI) but if the ripped section gets repaired, get one of them gliptone scuff repair kits, before they send it to you, you cut a bit of leather from under the seat, they then match the dye in the kit, then when you get it you use it to make the new part or any scuffed area match. That scuff repair kit really is a fantastic job, my side bolster was all scuffed and grey looking, i followed the instructions ie cleaning the area, drying it, then putting on the colour, then matching it with something in the smaller pots, wait 24 hours then the conditioner went on, and my seat still looks like new a few months after, the stuff hasnt even come off on my clothes.
