Banjo fittings

Post by rwb »

This got me thinking...

so the banjo and banjo-bolt are for making high-pressure connections.

But how do you attach the pipe to the banjo?

Anyway, given that you can attach a pipe to a banjo, the banjo is a second connection when you've already made one. So what's the point?

Here's a good picture: https://www.tyagiracing.com/products/14 ... -Hose.html

The banjo is the thing with the big hole in it, to which you attach your pipe.
The banjo bolt is hollow and has a hole in the side of it to let fluid in from the banjo.

You mostly get them on the ends of brake & hydraulic clutch lines. Don't forget to anneal those copper washers if you re-use them! :cheesy:
