Changing Laptop Keyboard

One for the computerists :cheesy:
My dads sony viao laptop, a PCG-7134M its keyboard is giving trouble the space bar, and a few of the important letters on the keyboard dont work right. Does all viaos use the same keyboard, i typed the model number into ebay but im not sure if i get another keyboard if it will be right.

Different models have different layouts, it will have to be for his specific laptop.

its just when i did the dells laptop a 6400, it shares the same keyboard with the e1505, so i thought some sony laptops have the same keyboard, a lot of viaos look the same.

But I would confirm that by taking the old one out and looking for a matching part number.

Laptop keyboards are blummin fiddly though so exercise caution when taking it out

Could be a loose cable or dust/nuts(!) under the keys. Have you tried thoroughly cleaning it?

my sister used it and broke the keys, that fake tan sh*t she uses clogs up keyboards worse than anything else, then she went and tried to clean it but actually broke a few keys. She did the same to her own laptop the dell and i had to change the keyboard on it which was an easy fix.
