Which one? I don't have a tool box for cars as such, more a garage. I do have one for plumbing (it's heavy) and one for electronics (it's hard to shut) but not one for cars. I'd need a van really. A big one.

I don't think I have anything too exciting, I recently bought myself a USB endoscope because there's been loads of times I thought one would be very useful, unfortunately since I got it I haven't been up to doing much, all I can say is it's about time I went back to the dentist (I won't be fitting in her chair for a while though

)

I keep most of the stuff in the shed, there is a lot of broken cheap shite rolson sockets, challenge drill, worn out screwdriver bits all sitting in a kerbie recycling bin, aswell as a load of old car parts mfd, flux capacitor, abs pump etc

The rest of the tools are good enough since they are not too old yet, i like the wera screwdriver bits cant break them things, the most exciting thing is the black and decker auto wrench although when you go to use it it doesnt actually lock very well.

Everything it came with for now as I've just recently invested in a Halfords Advanced 150 piece socket set, I'm so glad I did, I've not had a decent tool set for working on a car in ages and it's made all the recent work on the car a breeze!

No doubt soon I'll leave a spanner or Allen key laying around and I'll lose it!

One of our technicians refused to throw any tools out, no matter how damaged or abused.

The lads eventually made a shadow board for his 'dangerous tools collection', with spaces for bent screw drivers, one-claw hammer, curly stilsons, off-centre punch, self adjusting spanners etc.......

Pride of place went to a set of 'Metrinch' spanners, which cunningly didn't actually fit anything properly.

what are the best brands to go for, i know to avoid stuff from argos or pound shops. On the other end of the scale is snap on stuff worth the price.

"Halfords Professional" tools are brilliant, I bought a set of ratchet spanners from them a few years ago and they're still as new after a lot of use!

teng tools have the lifetime warranty aswell although i dont know how you would go about getting something fixed if anything breaks halfords is handy as theres a branch in most big towns. But the reason id buy teng stuff is my uncle always has, and i seen them being used on wheeler dealers.

Yes 10mm sockets always end up not back in the toolbox. I've lost a few down various engine/interior compartments over the years
