Had my mechanic check the pension wagon out for excess play as I've not been happy about the drive for a while now:
Front Top Mounts shot
Both front Wishbones shot
Both rear lower subframe support links shot
Last years new pads have eaten the discs in no time flat so all need replacing for new
Merry Christmas

Oh ffs Neighbour's dog for Christmas dinner? 20 minutes a pound, plus 20 minutes. Apple in the gob, onion up the bum & don't forget to take the collar off...
So, do I take it that, as well as sharing some engines and brakes with the Fiesta, the Ovlov also shares some of its made-out-of-licorice suspension components too?
Yes I understand the sussy parts have more than a passing resemblance to certain Ford models
Crazy thing is I am the most careful not to run over pot holes/drains to the point where I'd look like a piss head driving all over the shop but still I get mashed bushes
This one has had the dealer scratching their heads because they 'aint never sold none of those mate'
On the plus side, the new lower rear Engine mount/Torque mount (which it really went in for) has made a Mahoosive difference to the driving and gear-change (as seems to be the way with these mounts I have learnt) only cost me £25.00 and a drink for fitting it.

Ouch!
Nothing to do with your add-on braces, I hope?
You know, it was only when I re-read the first line before making a suitable riposte, that it dawned on me it didn't read 'passion wagon'.
I therefore felt duty-bound to ensure no one else makes the same error.

2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

My son tells me he changes those front wishbones by the shed load.
Has yours had a recall for a new clutch master cylinder and operating rod? He's done loads of those recently.
Thought I'd take the piss out of myself before anyone else does
I wondered if my beefed-up ARB had put more strain on other parts of the sussy, it probably has, the dealer parts chappy said they'd never had to supply those bits on the rear to anyone
The rear end problem has also finally explained why all four tyres are wearing at the same rate on a FWD turbo

Touch wood my V40 is behaving nicely now I've sorted the handbrake, the back plates on the rear hubs are rusted to hell though so that's a job for the near future
