For future reference. To remove account passwords from any windows based computer download an ISO image of Hirens boot cd. Current version is 15.0. Use the password delete function on it. It will remove the password from any user account you select then you can boot into windows as normal. The disc also has other usefull tools on it. I use it everyday at work, without it it would make my job as an I.T. tech 100 times harder.

If your system is locking up all the time as in no keyboard or mouse activity thats normally a sign of faulty hard drive or ram. Dont wipe the system for locking up, run a few hardware tests on it first!

A restore partition.

My own PC wouldn't boot, turned out the resistor to the fan had blown. Took it out, works again but the fan sounds like a jet taking off!

you will need a graphics card lozz with HDMi output ..... to use on an LCD . if you dont get a HDMi graphics card no sound will go to the tv from the pc

DVi cables are video ONLY no sound is transmitted through DVi ......

i have a Nvidia Geforce GT520 graphics card . its only £40 brand new but its decent to play games on low settings ... and i use an acer 23" LCD monitor connect to my pc with a HDMi lead ...
