That is testiment indeed for the 2.0 ltr engine, even in Turbo form (where you could expect more wear than usual) it is still very strong.

And as for your 40,000 mile oil changes, I am amazed.

Actually though, the type of journey to work you do is very 'easy' on a car much better than town work.

Do you think you will ever replace the car? or try for 200,000
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work

Indeed. Most of it is nice and easy but it is a turbo, which means it does get moderately regular days of sub-20mpg sidewards-round-the-bends abuse :D

As for replacing it, as I only bought it for a grand (a year ago with 112k on the clock) it'd be pretty pointless not to run it into the ground, especially with the lack of any recent service history or indeed lack of any recent service! It's a fantastic car and there's not much else I'd rather be in (other than a 406 v6 and/or coupe). Hopefully this time next year I'll still have it parked outside, with luck it'll have a new bonnet I'm not ashamed of by then!

Yeah. Come the end of the year I should have the cash for it *fingers crossed*. Still trying to work out how the hell I'm going to get to the oil filter without dismantling half the engine compartment, and at the sump plug without getting under the car (incredibly dangerous getting under parked in my street)...

150K... thats just a spring chicken.

Mines fast approaching 190K, currently at 186. And it feels like it'll go well beyond 200.
