What wouid you do?

Post by lozz »

daft question but here goes,

Yesterday A person was involved in a crash, car was stationary, outside my house
the op sped round the Bend and wiped out the side of it,

Ambulance was Declined.
police presence was Declined,

the op car had already been damadged from a previous crash you couid spot that straight off,

Ibent the door back on the car and got out,

details where exchanged,

her car is in my lock up ilet the person leave it there until insurers etc recover it,

heres the weird bit, on looking at her car, the crash has opend up old wounds, theres filler on the sills,
the car has been hit in the right place to bend the car where its been bent before, :?

im thinking about ringing the police tbh what wouid you do, ?

these cars are not old one is only 6-7mth old and the one in my lock up is a 09 plate

At the very least advise the owner.

We bought a car once looked good and a bargain, later found that behind the bumper was bent in and it had actually been in a heavy rear ender. The wheeler dealer seller had put a new bootlid on (with the original stickers and plate) and sold it on.

Lozz, you need subtitles :P

I think the gist of it is Lozz saw a pile-up outside his place, I don't actually think he was in the car. He offered his assistance and has the person that was not at fault's car in his lock up but now he's looking at it, noticed it's a mass of filler and probably dangerous and is wondering if he should tell the police. Yes/no?

But, but, he said "I bent the door back and got out" placing him at the 'scene' as it were.

You might be right though; the car that's been bodgered before is in a right two-and-eight. You can't really go around making reports of a car's structure without doing so professionally - I mean, who's going to listen to you?

They do reckon though that there's loads of cars out there that's been bodged (away from the Insurance) so as not to claim. I would recommend a thorough inspection of a used car if being sold privately.

I kinda read it that he's suspecting foul play, both cars previoulsly involved in accidents, perhaps they're trying to write one off or going for a crash for cash insurance scam? Whatever's going on, it certainly sounds a bit dodgy! :?
