Well our eldest son has just turned up with a new car,we knew he was getting one as his 106 caught fire last week, but what did he buy ??
His car history to date

Peugeot 205 1.1 (first car)

Peugeot 206 1.4

Hyundai coupe 2.0 (modified)

Vauxhall omega 2.5 v6 8)

Peugeot 106 1.1

so to his latest car, anyone care to guess what he's bought ????

Yay! when can I collect my prize?

I don't know when the motoring industry decided to make centre console's Silver I don't think I've ever seen a silver/aluminium dash which doesn't scream..."cheap" :frown:

the newer model 407 centre console is piano black and looks waaaay better, could be worse they could have tried to make the plastic look like wood

Looks like a music centre.... I used to think the "wood" in my D8 really was wood, until someone complained, I reckon as fake wood goes it's actually quite good fake wood (boom!). I'm used to it now anyway, and have no desire to paint it Christmas decoration silver. Besides, I've seen far worse, albeit with younger eyes...

I have a feeling the reason that a lot of car dashes these days are looking pretty tacky is because it's all got to be recyclabubble. Wood's fairly recyclable, can be chewed up and made into chip board, paper, egg cartons, whatever, so I s'pose we should be thankful the whole dash isn't made out of the stuff
