My 407 is a write off

Post by trem1 »

Well we were involved in a 3 vehicle smash tonight resulting in my 407 being sandwiched between a 107 (front) and a street ka(rear)
Both myself and son and daughter who were in my car with me are ok but abit battered and bruised, i have recovered the car myself (experience or what) and taken photo's which i will post later.
The other party's insurance company have already been on the phone to me and accepted liability and offered £2500 for my car.
A hire car is being dropped off in the morning at the expense whilst i decide wether to accept this offer (not in a milion feckin light years)

Blimey mate, I'm glad you're all ok. If there are any visible injuries make sure you document those too, if the other party's insurance co. want to play silly buggers you'll have some more ammo

 Ouch!

Hope you're genuinely OK - don't under estimate how much this kind of thing can shake you up.

Unfortunately it appears to be the time of year for accidents, dark nights, poor visibility, poor grip etc...

You managed to escape fairly well by the sounds of it (lucky you were sandwiched in a big saloon rather than a little hatchback).

Stand your ground over any settlement offers but I bet you're gutted about your lovely car, I know I would be.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for all the well wishes.
I'm absolutely gutted to lose my car but pleased myself and kids are pretty much unhurt(back/neck pain is all)

ive taken loads of pics but to save time etc can i add a link to photobucket so people can view the album rather than posted 35 pics direct to here.

If so anyone know how i do it ??
does this work

its ok Steve i don't want it repaired anyway, that's the second time we've walked away from a rear-end shunt in that car, might not be as lucky a third time.
besides the metal has been straightened out once before so must have weakened it.

time for a new one
