306 clocks weird gauge ??

Post by lozz »

anyone know what the MIN/MAX dial is for on the dash board (under the rev counter) :?

when you start the engine it sits at max and then drops down to min,

Sould lilke the oil level gauge you get on D8s
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

Most Pugs have an oil level indicator, they used to have two functions - showing oil level first and then doubling as an oil temp gauge.

I wish other manufacturers had this feature :frown:

ithink you might be right,

oil level gauge, altho its pretty useless if it is, once car is started its pretty much dead,
it looks like the car has got a broken gauge,

The oil level only shows on ignition, once the engines running it won't show the level (you'd probably crap yourself if it did  ). I'm surprised it doesn't double as an oil temperature gauge though but having said that the oil takes an age to warm up in this weather.

I think posh D8 406's were the same.

True, some manufactures don't even give you a coolant temperature gauge now  :?
