Finishing work today?

Post by Welly »

I'm knocking off at about 4pm and having 2-weeks off this year  8) 8)

I've got a couple of things I want to do over the break; one is resurrecting the Hot & Cold water supply to the Belfast Sink in the Garage where the pipes froze and burst a couple of years ago.

I used to fill up my car washing bucket in the Garage instead of bothering her indoors :supafrisk:

Then I've got a PPi reclaim/complaint to present (which I've been putting off for 4 months) I'm hoping (no, praying) I'll get some money back from all the charges on my credit card over the last 13 years :o

Then there's some relaxation which I'm hoping to become very skilled at.

We've got no visitors and no-one to visit (I said f*ck the lot of them this year) so it's going to be great

Anyway Merry Christmas to all members and best wishes from myself.

Work? Hey, I do not do the W word :frown:

The wife knocks off at 1:30 today, but she's on the morning shift and that always finishes at 1:30. This afternoon she wants to go to a mall near Zagreb to look for a CD player for her sis - we saw one yesterday but it had "Sony" written on it :frown: For the coming festive season I plan to ignore it as much as humanly possible, the same as I do every year. Bah handbag.

All the best for your fortnight's holiday anyway :cheesy:

Oh god! it has started already - just 'nipped' to Tesco (to replace the Sandwich I forgot to bring from home :frown: ) and the place was heaving with customers  car park was all but full, there was one Fiesta smashed up who never even made it in by the looks

I'm preparing an Asian meal for 7 on Sunday, I'm dreading shopping for the food :(

Well, I'm knocking off in a few minutes and that's me until 2nd January, (which will seem like a bout 15 minutes, I expect).

Apart from not yet starting the xmas shopping, (I only have to get Mrs Doggy's giftS), I should be fine......

Have a good one everybody. :P

I was supposed to be finishing and going over the pub for a swift half, errrm, about now. But we finished at 2 and went to the pub yesterday, so no-one bothered going in today  . We've all been "working from home" this morning (in my case, hoovering, dusting and general cleaning etc... and a trip to Tesco 1st thing to get a turkey  ) and as of now we're officially finished 'till the 2nd Jan. :cheesy:

That said, I discovered yesterday that I need to write a scheme of work and a full set of lesson plans for an engineering apprenticeship before we go back, so that's a couple of days of my holiday gone!!

Anyway, gotta go, the wife's finishing early today too and the windows and bathroom aren't going to clean themselves! Did someone say "holiday"?

You workers have it way to easy, i clocked off today at 12.30pm when the misses officially finished until sometime in January I'm scared to ask when maybe the 4th or something way to far away.

Today was good it was like my own crimbo do we went out for a meal at 2pm which was nice then back home for a bit and back to a local pub with old friends and some family.

That's my christmas over it'll be back to the same old shite from tomorrow... Washing, drying, ironing, cleaning, cooking followed by dishes and eventually crashing out on the settee and waking up something like 2am.

Then there's crimbo day, cooking from 6am or whenever the kids wake me, eating and cleaning but i'll make sure lots of drinking is also on the menu... Handy when you have home made Beer, red and white wine and a selection of spirits brewed  .

Boxing day pretty much the same.

I'm also in the grumpy club and hoping for no visitors but if i have the energy I'm f*cking off on holidays anyway.

Shove christmas up your arse!!

I read that as "an alsatian meal for 7" the first time I saw it

This morning I will mostly be cleaning the (wood burning) boiler out, I'm just waiting for it to cool down a little.
