Just being curious here because i've bunged what i consider an old scrap trailer on ebay (ok given the room i could restore it but the f*cker is heavy so couldn't get it around the side of my house)
the highest bidder is someone called thehiabman which got my cogs a turning thinking he maybe a scrappy
What you recon scrap value could be? i was going to use it for camping because i may have to sell the caravan but today i took a nice 55mpg cruise to Gloucester and bought a lightweight galvanised trailer so defo no use for the big heavy one now.

Hi, this is almost identical to the one I bought from ebay 2 years ago - same size and running gear but mine had ally sides instead. I paid £26 for it even though it looked rough it has served me well, and still going.
I don't think a scrapyard would take yours with all the wood still on it, so if wood was removed it would weigh around 100kg which is 1/10 of a ton @ £130 per ton is about £13.
You will be surprised at how much this will fetch on ebay, maybe around £45 - £50? Fingers Crossed........

Does the trailer have a full main dealer service history?
Also I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't have alloy wheels? can you fit some in with the sale price?

Full service history but you might have to take the snow tyres off with March coming up and all that ... Them there are alloys under all the rust.

Your new one looks pretty good. Someone near me has a wooden trailer like your old one on sale at the roadside for £125. It's in a better state
than yours, but still very well used.

my plan Saturday was to get it from my mother in laws preasure wash it and see if i could fix it up or at least flog it on ebay clean but it would mean lifting it over her front gate.... I took one look at the father in law holding his back in pain, i'm also in a lot of back pain and said fook this get the camera out I'll sell it as it is... and pass the tramadol old man.

Well well, looks like I may have underestimated what your trailer is actually worth.....!!

i can only guess it's due to the price of trailers, an identical one to the one i bought sold for over £200 on the bay last night and the wooden ones are still bringing silly money so maybe it works out cheaper to restore them yourself.
it may not look it from the pics but the wood is pretty solid so wouldn't really need replacing, the bearings have their own greasy nipple so a bit of lube might get them running nice add a new indicator or even a new board and it's ready to go.
Half a days work and your ready to go camping.
Having said all that it's just my luck for someone to be pulling my pisser.
