Child poverty

Post by scotty73 »

Something this government CLAIMS to want to get rid of.

I'll try to keep this brief but sorry if i rumble on i really am stunned and rather f*cked off.
After winning my dwp tribunal before christmas i got all my back pay and regular money but knew something would bite me in the arse.
Well double whammy, On Friday i attended a work focused interview where i was told that on the 26th February 2013 i would lose all my benefits because my wife works.

My first question was (how do the government think a family can survive when they take £432 a month off them?
Embarrasingly she replied, well the government say that if you have a partner that works there are other benefits you can claim so the first thing you should do is get your wife to ring working families tax credits tell them that on the 26th your money will stop.

So sarcastically i said, oh so they'll pay what the dwp have taken from me will they?

err no but they will help.

SOOOOOOO that phone call was made Friday lunch time and in the post today i get the decision £11 less per month.... Now it's only 11 English pounds but it's our 11 English f*cking pounds and you've already taken £432 off me so now we're down £443 each month.

I've had 5 weeks off the booze but f*ck me i could sink a few right now.... Child poverty my f*cking arse my poor kids won't have school uniform come September at this rate.

Rant over... Unless someone keeps me going. :supafrisk:

The Goverment dont care about anything,
Main objective seems to be there clawing everypenny they can, Mainly from the vulnerable,

So far up here,Up north theyre making people homeless, Many are having to give up there homes,
carnt work because there ill/frail,/disabled - but theres nowt they can do when theyve took there housing benefit off them,

it will only get worse, but what have they got from all this clawing? nothing as the country is more in debt than its everbeen,

ijust feel sorry for the old people that have worked all there lives, and as a reward for it they get this b/s.

You may as well BOTH be scratching on and have a house full of tea pot lids - claiming everything you can

I earn a fair wage, my missus works part time and is studying for an IT qualification  but EVERY SINGLE PENNY and more besides gets spent on bills and cost of living. We have no real disposable income to speak of after we've paid everything and it pisses me off.

]There seems to be an art to getting money our of the government. there are so many that never work a day in their life or who get money for seemingly nothing.

Someone I know rents a house out, they have just accepted some new tenants, To qualify for paying the rent they have to [strike]earn[/strike] have an income of 22k a year. he earns 14k and his wife gets 9k in tax credits or some such of the government for doing nothing.

Sorry to hear about your situation, sounds very frustrating!
I have to move house, boys have to move schools and my FIVE children have to share ONE BEDROOM now.
I have my girls (all 3 of them) every other weekend and half the holidays and unless I come up with £35 a week every week to keep this 3 bed house we are done for.
The eldest son has special needs and finds change catastrophic for his development and behaviour.
So to move areas, schools and houses is going to be extremely tough for them.

I used to be proud to be British - not anymore.

Best wishes to you and your family

Dont know if itd help or not, but have you thought about going to your local mp,?

this is so wrong and shouidnt be happening, people need to stand up and fight back,
they shouid be targeting people who are Milking the system, not the vulnerable, ie old or those who have children to support/look after,

its wrong, but trouble is its a one man army if no one stands up,

That should help!
Write to Cameron the C###
Probably get the expected response, ie, nowt.
Go to the press with a story about what a useless C### Cameron is....
Watch the spin doctors soil themselves and sort out some help immediately....

Might work? :?

Appeal should have gone in within 4 weeks i think but one is going in with an explanation that i ain't been well enough to deal with it.

Stupid thing is i had a letter today saying it had been stopped on the 26th but no warning it was going to stop it's a good job i realised this could happen and got ready for it.
