parts information

Post by 406 express »

Hi Guys,

I am assuming with the level of knowledge that is on these posts that most users service and maintain the own 406s, my question is where is the best places to get parts, (filters, discs, pads etc)?
Halfords, main dealers, Ebay etc? also are they of good quality, I am based near Chester, anyone good local to me that people have used?

your feedback is apprecaited

Cheers

Try and use a specialist like ''eurocarparts'', you idealy want Original Equipment parts like a Purflux Oil Filter etc. I forget who makes the brake parts for Puggy's think it's Valeo though. I have found eurocarparts to be pretty good, and cheaper than the dealers.

I got a radiator fan from them, it came in a Peugeot Genuine box, but was £20.00 cheaper than the dealer.

I would avoid Halfrauds own filters and even Fram stuff, you want items that are made by OE suppliers to Peugeot.

I got my brake components from a local motor factor (check the yellow pages or yell.com) for under half the price the dealer wanted for the same components

Ohhh.....

I forgot - parts for Pugs are cheap as chips over there and the EU/GBP to the AUD exchange rate sucks so we get shafted! :(
