Easy Diagnostics.

Post by jasper5 »

I know there are a lot of open threads on PP2000, but I felt I had to seperate this so it didn't get lost in any of the threads.

I bought the 7.15 version which includes Diagbox and PP2000.....which arrived next day :D , I uploaded it at first to my Windows 7 64 bit laptop, but had problems getting updates to activate and getting a full access to my 407.

I asked Jim from Easy diagnostics to help me sort out the problems I had and he helped me sort it all out to a full working system onto my XP laptop...even setting up my computer for me to help get the system working properly, plus setting the Diagbox onto my actual car by using a programme to remote control my laptop with me sat in it!

Jim has always made himself available to help me, answering my phone calls and texts without complaint and with enthusiasm to sort out all the (self inflicted by me in terms of computer and systems) problems loading the software and configuring the hardware.

I know there are lots of people looking to buy the PP2000 and I wanted to post this to say that I can't recommend Easy Diagnostics highly enough, Jim went above and beyond what I would have expected from a seller of any item....I have already had fantastic value for money with the fantastic customer service I have received :D :D

On the software cd there are instruction manuals, and if you sign up to the website...www.easydiagnostics.co.uk you will find in the members area, videos, free updates and lots of help and advice.

If you are thinking of buying a PP2000 setup you should seriously look into buying from Easy Diagnostics....trem told me the guys on Peugeot forums recommended them, now I do as well :D

Thanks, Jim, you're a star 8)

Makes a nice change to hear such a positive report, good to have someone to recommend.

BTW, have you managed to configure your MFD now, John?

I think you should. I could easily be wrong, but my instinct tells me it isn't going to respond, (unless you can find another batch of options that have eluded us so far).

Jim spent 4 hours on it yesterday, it was after 9pm when my laptop froze and I gave up....Jim would have carried on, but I'd had enough.

Jim certainly sticks to his word, can't fault the guy, he cares about his customers for sure, I'm sure he was getting cheesed off with it, but he never fobbed me off.

Doesn't look like it will respond having seen Jim trying to do the config and the problems he had....it looks like it may not be the right part, it showed as having satnav, but my car doesn't.

There is one thing I read late last night on the Peugeot Forums, that if the display won't config that you have to config it as a Citroen C5 or C6...

Well!

I bit the bullet and decided to book my 407 in to the dealer for them to configure my new display

I left it with them this morning at 8-30 with a 12-30 collection time agreed, guess what? I just had a phone call telling me they are having trouble configuring the new display

I knew there was something wrong with the new display, I saw Jim try to configure it and what was happening, basically the new display should be set by going into the ECU, locating the display, input vin number and click the configure button, but no, this damn thing wouldn't have it.

Now the dealer can mess with it, they sold it to me so they should sort it

At least now you know theres nothing wrong with your diagnostics - and that also explains why the boys at Pugfest couldn't do anything with it either......
Was it brand new? Shocking.........

Good for you John.

It'll be interesting to see how they appease your discontent in the end, (assuming you don't mind sharing).
