To sell or not to sell. Not.

Post by D9406 »

Decided to buy a qashqia+2, new, and sell on my 99 110 hdi estate with 73k. Placed order for mid sept delivery and sat back to wait. Yesterday my OH said it would be a shame to see our car go as it is so reliable so we had a chat and cancelled new car order.
Feel much better now.

Clutch changed @110k, bottom pulley changed, cam belt changed, EGR blanked, cat removed, front springs changed.

Smart move. :cheesy:

Now, invest some of the savings in remapping the 406, so you can run rings round cashcows and the like. 8)

Wouldn't bother with a remap - if the boss's one is anything to go by a 1.9d Berlingo could run rings around it. There's such a pathetically small power band on the 1.5dci that you find yourself getting left standing at traffic lights & roundabouts.

Thanks for the replies it's got the mot in 4 or5 weeks time, should be okay, and then a trip to Bristol for the remap. My lads had his done, a 90, and it's good. Maybe a larger intercooler and clean out the egr as well.

Where are you from?
Bristol isn't too far from me, & I'd be interested as to where you are taking it for the re-map in Bristol....

Hi Sonia, look online for HDi Tuning Ltd. I think he's not far from cribbs causeway.
He, did a really good job on my lads 90. Went out on a test drive first then downloaded existing map, altered it and uploaded it to car, went out for another drive with laptop plugged in to monitor everything was working. He also does home visits and by email. Have a look.
Prices are on website.
