At the start of the month on holidays my two daughters decided to enter the talent show the site has been running all season and long story short my eldest won the competition and has been invited back next month for the finals.. Huge moment for her (proud dad and all that blx that came with it)

Few days ago i saw on a friends facebook advertised a local charity talent show in Dai's neck of the woods The crown inn Merthyr hosted by local celebrity comedian come panto actor Mr Owen Money
Well my youngest done her song followed straight after by my eldest and by the end of it i was shaking like a leaf when up came Owen Money straight to the wife and invites them both to a night in Sam's neck of the woods (the high tide Porthcawl) for yet another competition. http://www.hi-tide.co.uk/whats-on/

Spoke to Owen a few times last night and his feedback on the girls was jaw dropping... His best mate said to the wife (those kids need to get into musicals and get out of this poxy town) Found that quite amusing tbh.

I've heard some view on him being a right tosser in the past but fair play to him he was easily approachable on both nights and very polite and loved my kids which is a huge plus with all his connections (without going into to much detail)

The Porthcawl one was great my youngest's nerves got the better of her tbh but my eldest is through to the semi final on either the 11th or 12th September.

What a crazy time at the mo 11th or 12th September semi final.
28th September we have the finals of Pencnwcs got talent which the eldest is also in.
And by tomorrow we'll know if any or both of them have reached the final in October which is back in Merthyr again.

If anyone's interested I'll post the video's from last night with judges comments once i get them off me mams ipad?

Sorry Dai missed that bit, didn't see any cameras for the heat in Porthcawl but there was one in Merthyr and a photographer from the Merthyr express but i think they were both after benefit cheats.

I can just see a famous celeb one day coming up to me and going 'do you have any idea who I am?' Ummmm... Quite often people say, Oh you'll never guess who I saw the other day, it was blahdy-blah... umm.. yeah who?!

I'm not sure if this embed thing will even work on here if not I'll get the file off my mam, it starts with my youngest and you'll see she was very nervous but had great reviews from both the judge and loads of people afterwards
Then onto my eldest and if you watch the whole video you'll see why i was trembling inside and there were plenty of tears of happiness on our table too.... Not me this time i was hiding behind the Ipad.

Last night was the final of what has become known as "Wales got talent"

Well long story short she came first she got a lovely trophy and a cheque for more than a few hundred quid that she's already spent.
Another final on the 28th followed by another one in October and she didn't want to do any of them.

Cheers lads it was a bit of a crazy night if I'm honest it turns out that while the family was watching Emma my mam, dad and grandmothers lotto numbers came up, not the 6 but 5 plus the bonus ball.

Exciting?
Yeah cool
Cool for parents and gran who are now a good few grand richer.
Cool for daughter who is half a grand richer and on step one of recognition.
Cool for me for being so happy for them but I'm still a skint part time (un paid) taxi driver for all the above with a much lighter wallet after paying for all the talent show expenses.
