THIEVING B*****D SCUMBAG'S

Post by dirtydirtydiesel »

Hi all,
Just a word of warning really :( .
I had my 406 up on axle stands for the past couple of weeks while I do some much needed work on her  , ( at the bottom of my private driveway, in front of my garage door,in a nice area ! ).
So I returned home from work this evening to be greeted by this sight

I can only imagine how annoying that is. Guess it's public knowledge you can eBay an OE cat for about £200. How long would it take to nick one?

Someone I know had his Mitsi L200 off the road for 9 weeks while he waited for the priviledge of paying £800 for a replacement.

I may mount mine on insulating brackets, attach a coil pack, trembler switch........

Opportunity?

It is an ex-cat. It has ceased to be.

I guess being up on axle stands the temptation to swipe it was too great, and if anyone looked down your driveway they'd just see two blokes "working" on a car :|

What if you'd have come home though mid-way through the act? they took a massive risk doing this on your driveway.

I am sorry for you though as this is the last thing you need. How do you think they cut the eggsauce pipe anyway?

Clucking bell  They should make whoever's scrapping them produce the log book for the car they came off...

Personally, I blame Thatcher (no, seriously I do) because of all the options open to the old bag she chose to introduce catalytic converters to the UK and, as anyone who's flown in or out of LA of San Francisco, they really do the job  I also thought when they were introduced there'd be a back market in stolen ones because of all the precious metals in them. It's take a while to get going but...
