There's usually an option on the Form to say what date you sold it and to whom (that might be the tricky part if you didn't keep a note of it) Motor Traders never re-register the cars while they're up for sale so they stay in your name.
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work

Yes that's correct mate.
there is that section.but its asking for the drivers name Address/dob and there signature,

we only no the name of garage, they filled in traders section of v5 and that was sent off to dvla but looking through the files we keep
it looks like we never got confirmation back off dvla..

The car tax on it was due too expire so someone must of re/taxed it on a traders policy,

After 6 weeks I haven't received a new V5 for the 407, so I've just done a V62. I'm a bit worried.

Anyway, Alberto: the question is whether a Gatso can get you while you're overtaking.

There is an interesting post on www.5ive-o.org. It claims that the primary evidence is a radar reading, and the lines on the road and photograph are secondary evidence and, critically, when two vehicles are in range the primary evidence is unreliable. So there is hope...

However, the proof of the pudding is in the post :(
I think we'll just have to wait and see :(

Contact person you bought car off ask if log book sent off?
ring dvla see if they received it,

they might have big back log of books to sort.

Ta lozz,
Already gone. But it was bought from a reputable dealer (Hepworths), and I received a note about them having transferred by 406 weeks ago.

I don't want to give you false hope Alberto, but I think you're probably OK.

Firstly, I don't believe that those standard fixed Gatso cameras work if you're approaching it, they're designed to work for vehicles moving away from, not coming towards the camera.

Secondly, and I admit that I haven't looked this up so may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure that the highway code says that you are allowed to break the speed limit while overtaking, in order to reduce the "time exposed to danger".

As the others have said though, unfortunately you'll need to hang on and see what comes of it.... :(
