A group of us went to Crail on Sun 18 Feb 07.

See pics and video as to why its up for sale.

How to wreck a car the proper way Blingmotors and CruiseNorthEast style, do it on Track not on the Road.

Incredibley no 1 was seriously hurt, just sore shoulders and backs.

The cameraman's girlfriend was the passenger in the car, just b4 she got in she asked whats the worse that can happen, and of course the infamous answer was hit the tyres, but you can never flip a sapphy so its well safe. Well done to him to keep filming for a few
seconds after the crash. Then we realised WTF had just happened and quite a few of us ran to help get them out. The car was still
drivable but not road legal and was an obvious write off so it was left at crail minus the radio, alloy wheels and anything else we could
remove that was not damaged.

I'm impressed that the Sierra handled it so well to keep everyone safe.

f*cking morons.
The driver was in no control at any point. Over powered and no experience. It shows.
Up goes my insurance premium because to cover the cost when fuckwits like that balls it up. Blind luck was all that stopped that being a fatal accident.

What you on about daft twat? Its a drifting arena for guess what? drifting on. Even the experts get it wrong, he only just clipped a tyre that had been pushed out by someone else clipping them, so get off your high horse as accidents happen and everyone who went on there knew about the risks.

Insurance, how can he poss make a claim when its on track and insurance does not cover that usage?

The car was left at Crail for them to dispose of it. There will be no insurance claim.

How can you possibly call them morons for doing that on a TRACK? On a road yes I would agree, but that was a track.
The car was worth less than £200 and afterall its a Ford so no great loss. :cheesy:

The car was bought for that kind of fun on the track.

Oh did I mention I also got arrested on route to crail in scotland? lol

I was only taking a much needed p*ss up a wall on a derelict building, and copper pulls me for that.

As I was driving he made sure I was insured for it, he thought he had me as it wasn't my car.
But I paid for fully comp insurance for 1 day from dayinsure for it. :cheesy:

Copper says I may get a wee fine and that he wasn't taking the p*ss in pulling me.

thats pathetic, i would never call that drifting, thats just oversteer, the pleb that was driving was over correcting it and hence probably why it rolled, ive done better in my old 306 estate with the handbrake in the wet

It was comically bad, but you've got to give them credit for doing it off the road where there's no danger or detriment to uninvolved parties.

Liken it to karaoke. Sure they may be crap, but it's still fun...

The trouble with that Sierra is that the suspension is too soft and it hasn't enough powAr to provoke a decent drift, and hold it there.

An old 635 CSi would drift around all day long, and you could still take it home after (although you might need to bring some spare tyres).

Hey Tux 2006, are you saying your knob is bigger than mine eh? eh? eh?

The Sierra certainly can drift very well, the video is only a little bit of what happened just highlighting the crash. The car was drifting all over the place b4 that. He went in a few corners too fast which meant it didn't drift, to drift the sierra its best to go in slowish then nail the power to get it drifting.

Geordie, your only saying that cos you want one :cheesy:

The best Sierra I ever drove was a company one and it was a late J Reg 2.0 GT hatchback, pretty rare low spec model, last of the Sierras, but had a 16 Valve DOHC head. It was really torquey actually, still wobbly on the corners.

Tux, U carnt say all dat stuf til fryday cos dats da rulz. an iv got da eggseck modul so iv got da bigga knob on ere.

The car in the Video was a 2.0 DOHC. YES I do want 1, more so now I've seen how well protected they were after the rollover.
I'm impressed with it tbh. :cheesy:
