Anyone seen any 64 plates?

Post by Welly »

If so what have you seen?

Internet Virtual prizes available* for whoever spots the greatest first 64 car (remember I spotted a Voxhorl Adam in the quest for my first 14'er and had to admit this openly, hoping for something a little smarter this year).

Saw a '64 plate black Audi S3 about 2 mins away from my house on the way home from work yesterday.

Being driven like an idiot but I expect it's the fun of having a new toy 8)

I have no idea what constitutes a new car these days, so I wouldn't know which ones to check for dents. Maybe while they're actually still in the dealer's...

I rented a van for work on Monday and was a bit disappointed that it was a mere 14 plate. I expressed my displeasure to the vehicle rental operative who said "should have had a focus then, there's 5 of them there, look!", they'd been delivered over the weekend apparently. So my claim for the Welly prize is 5 64 plate Fraud Fucusssesssesss, parked 'round the back of Enterprise Car Rental, Merthyr Tydfil, at 8AM on the 1st :)

No sorry that's not allowed in the approved* rules.

The car must be seen out in the field doing car-driving stuff and happened upon by us; the competition'ees.

I do actually have a prize to give away; a very attractive alloy Peugeot Key ring in a definitely* not now creased presentation box with silk* lining:

If any member impresses me highly enough he may* find he gets presented with this by their regular Postman.

Get out there a'lookin folks, the stakes are high*

I seen a new mercedes c220 CDi diving through the filling station where i fill up, unfortunately the number plates here lack any logical numerical system so they dont have 14 or 64 on them, but its definatley the new shape c class.

Just saw a Shitroen DS3 doing driving type stuff (Miss Daisy must've been in the back judging by the way it was crawling down the road)

I did spot around 14.5 feet of 64-plate anonymous BMW-ishness, yesterday evening that was, come to think of it, remarkable for being neither black nor white.

Not being armed with a camera, (or the phsycic ability to determine this would become mandatory some hours later), there is no image, save that engraved in memory.

I therefore claim the prize, but since I don't actually want it, I will unilaterally adjust the rules to compel welly to make a sizeable donation to a charity of my choice, (http://www.northantscavalierkingcharles.org) and post an image of the receipt, within 7 days.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
