There was supposed to of been a massive mufa flucker once in Manchester
I never believed it tho..
If I see out like this I will give it a squirt of spray grease and light it up..

They have warned recently that the long warm Summer had generated larger than average spiders. I would'nt say the summers been that good really?

That type of spider is totally harmless. I saw on TV yesterday how we do have one that bites and can be very painful. It is larger than that and a two-tone mottled grey in colour.
Personally, I hate those jumping spiders we get around here on the more open, grassy areas.

Spiders don't like tobacco?
They never told you that when you were driving yourself crazy packing in the fags, did they?
Judging by the list of things they don't like, I should imagine all those horrible air freshener gadgets will upset them too.

Anyone else getting a lot of these spindly 'Cellar Spiders' ? They are sh*t at making webs and go crazy/shake when you disturb them.
There must be over 30 in my Office

It was this story which i read the other day that made me think this spider was a biting type:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -bite.html
I got the one in the photos with bleach, i have it in an old spray bottle of mr muscle which stops most bugs, it doesn't look too dissimilar to the one in the article.

I like how the article says the venom causes necrosis and the expert they quote at the end says the bites are harmless they only go nasty if they get infected.
We used to suffer from these nasty little barstewards
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-tailed_spider one of my mates got bit and ended up with an inch diameter hole half an inch deep in his neck.
