My 3.0 V6 Citroen C2

Post by Nathc2 »

This is my track toy, it's a citroen C2 but with a difference. It's got a peugeot 406 coupe v6 engine (D8) with a few little mods. Used to be black and orange then changed to all black with anthracite wheels etc.

Spec so far:

3.0 V6 engine
Pipercross induction kit
Custom manifold and centre pipe
Milltek backbox
Fibreglass bucket seats
Flocked dashboard and other bits
OMP racing wheel and detachable boss
D2 racing suspension
Team dynamic pro race 2's with parada spec 2 tyres
406 brembo 4pots
302mm drilled and grooved discs
Fully stripped out interior
Spoiler

That's amazing! well done, I'd have never thought you'd be able to squeeze a large engine like that into a pocket-rocket C2

The finished car looks really tidy too.

surprised the DVLA let you buy that plate.

I understand Citroen actually designed the C2 with modding in mind to try an emulate the appeal of the Saxo. Doesn't seem to have worked very well as you don't see many of them around. Nice job though.

Not really much modifications, couldn't have the plastic trim that the bonnet catch was on etc and had to cut a part of the crash bar away to fit the twin fan set up.

Excellent work there, its amazing how well peugeot parts can be swapped around the different PSA cars.

Im sure that is very fast, but how does such a small car with a big v6 up front handle the corners?

I took it on track the other week for the first time and tbh I expected it to perform bad but I was beating everything on track, overtook a supercharged vx220 and a normal vx220, 106 gti's, saxo VTS's, clio sports etc all non standard cars where on track. Most of the hot hatches had stripped out interiors, track tyres and engine mods and weighed ally less than me.

How did you get the 406 ECU to talk to the CAN in the car itself?

It's abit complicated ATM, I've got two ecu's. A v6 ecu to run the engine side of things and the C2 ecu runs the clocks etc. it's abit crap as things don't work properly but I'll have a stand alone ecu and a remap soon so everything will work properly soon.

Is there no way you can use the D9 ecu?
