MOT FALIURE

Post by peugeot30v6 »

Took my V6 in for a MOT and it FAILED!! The guy told me that the exhaust emissions were to high 4.90. I am not really sure what it could be.

Stick a can of CATACLEAN in a 1/2 full tank & take it for a good long run of over 3000rpm's for 25 miles or more
a couple of junctions of the M1 do it for me.
This has always worked for me :cheesy:

Its possible that the 02 sensor isnt working correctly, i had the same problem on the 106 and it turned out to be a dodgy 02 sensor, the EML light didnt come on but there was a fault when the car was plugged in.

If cataclean does not work, take it to an authorised TerraClean agent. Really good service and will certainly fix the issue as long as there isn't any sensor issues anywhere. http://www.terraclean.co.uk/ £90 ish if I remember right.

Took it to Peugeot where I had the engine rebuilt a couple of weeks ago and they said they would have it fixed by Monday. They gave me a courtesy car for the weekend.

I have been throwing money at this car ever since I bought it. Alot of problems still need to be sorted out but I dont really have a lot of time during the day as I am up at 4 and only leave work at 6!! I still love the car and want to keep it, I have got 2 folders full of records of what I have replaced. My Volvo has got 250000k and other than regular maintenance I have only ever had the radiator and turbo.
I hope my Hdi is not as much trouble in the long run as my V6.
