Watch your car's chaps ..if you've got splitters(lower spoiler) on the front bumper.
theyre getting stolen. (not sure why.)
iheard mention of it the other day' and isort of brushed it off. (ishouid of glue'd them on or something)
came back to car today...(shopping centre car park) and they've been swiped off my 207
Considering the cost of a cllaim for front-end damage, and buying the bits second-hand, it does kind of explain why these parts are being stolen. I wonder how easy it was for those parts to be removed? Although, years ago, when a friend was on holiday, a pantechnicon turned up and completely stripped his house of everything in broad daylight. Neighbours who enquired were told that my friend was moving, and they accepted that three guys in brown coats were probably genuine.
I guess if you're watched parking up and going into the Cinema then thieves know they've got 2 hours to get what they want. Park a big van next to a car and get busy with the spanners then passers-by will think it's a Breakdown or something.

The thieving scum bags need there finger's breaking.

- Lady states the replacement parts are £1000 + vat, which is over £2000. Is there 50% VAT in Wales..???
Luckily these incedents happened to Fiestas, so no harm done.

You mean 100%
Thinking broadly here, and pure speculation, but there's a fairly steady demand for 'Green Parts' by body repair specialists; these are good quality parts taken from wrecked cars but are perfectly able to be re-used. This process is environmentally friendly and cheap but it wouldn't take much for unscrupulous suppliers to get there hands on a steady stream of nice parts from Car Parks.
Maybe there's no 'policing' of where the stuff comes from, after all there's no identifying numbers on body parts apart from the build date?

I remember when they were nicking VW badges some people were electrifying them, especially the ones on proper Beetles which are chromed alloy with nice insulating rubber grommets.
