My dog, Jasper.

For those who haven't seen it on Facebook....I had to have my dog, Jasper put to sleep today....I just wanted to let people know, especially if you met him.

I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. He was a lovely dog and a real character.
I hope it's some comfort to know he had a good innings, not to mention a great home and loving owners.

Sorry to hear the news, thats the thing with dogs they really do become part of the family its so hard when they have to go.

Sorry from me too although we've never met I just wanted to add a post on this. It must be very sad for you and your family, I know it's a cliche but life will go on and will get better day by day.

Friend of mine recently went through the same after spending £+++++'s at the Vets eventually they had to give in to the illness and let him go (the dog not my friend). Within 6 hours he had collected another dog, we all thought he was nuts but that was his way of coping.

My dog passed away in his sleep last june,

iused to get up in a morning and look for him or shout him to wake up to get ready for his walk, for awhile.

We sympathise with you having gone through the same thing a number of times ourselves. That's really the only downside of having pets. We have had German Shepherds since the '60s and nearly always had two cats as well. We always hope they will die of natural causes but none of ours ever have.

Are you getting another one, I'm sure it helps.

Sorry to hear that John. I know Jasper was in and out of it over the past few months but it doesn't make it any easier. Have lost a number of pets over the years so I know the feeling all to well. It does get easier with time but you always remember.
