Recirculating flap wiring

Post by Uberderv »

Hi all, due to a clicking noise I have found that the recirculating flap is up the gunger. Plan was to make sure its open and disconnect the bugger. That all went great until I managed to pull the plug off the loom and watch the wires dissapear into the depths of the dash.

My worry is that the bare ends could short and cause a fire, is this likely? Is there a fuse I can pull to stop the motor getting power?

It's powered from the a/c ecu, so if you don't mind that not working..

Isn't it a plug?

Do you know where the A/C Ecu is? Yes it has a plug but I can be a bit ham fisted  I don't mind the A/C not working but I use the A/C switch to bring the fans on when the engine gets warm. I do intend to fix it but can't at min so as long as its safe I'm happy.

I think it's actually behind the controls.
