Ooh that's pretty impressive, giffer owner no doubt and probably full of Coke (and not in a good way).

Sadly I don't think anyone will see the worth in it and will still wish to pay the going £300.00 and then go out willy-waving at the condition and mileage for the price....

A 2003 ex-demonstrator? that's hardly going to raise an eyebrow now in 2017. It's a bit like saying your 67 year old Aunty once appeared on Page 3 as 'Suzzie from Sussex'.....

I thought it was kind of interesting, ah well. Previously enjoyed by a host of frustrated car salesmen.

I always wonder if being a ex-demo is a good thing or a bad thing, one careful owner with intergalactic mileage or no actual owner for the first year, only driven by a) non-owners who want to see what it goes like/how easy it is to break and c) salesmen, who do take the demos home and don't treat them with any respect.

What sort of demo are we talking about anyway?

The Volvo of doom was a demonstrator in that Newcastle when it was new, imagine all the numpties who took it out to 'see how the T5 goes' ......... barely run-in, cold oil and then a blast straight up the dual carriageway :(

Mind you what do they say again? if you want your car to be fast then run it in fast? or something.

They were saying that about bikes a while (i.e. 15 years ago :( ) back, thrash the nuts off it during run in and it'll be more powerful. I think that equates to huge oil clearances due to the extra wear and much shorter life expectancies. Still, who cares? You'll be onto your next bike by then, thrashing it unmercilessly 'round the track all day and bouncing it off the rev limiter all night at the NEC :frown:

Peugeot 406 1.8 saloon 1998 S reg 36707 miles Full Service History

The service history is on the ad too, serviced every year regardless, wow. I never bothered to service my 406 every year, it seemed a bit pointless for what, 200 miles? It'd have been more expensive on engine oil than diesel  Perhaps I should have done and I'm a bad bad boy  I still see it about, it's still the best looking car about these parts :( It's always clean too :supafrisk:

Not too far from me.

TBF you could probably wang 50K miles on that without too much fuss, cheap motoring for sure. Those early pez 406's were very trouble-free.
