The V6's do have 4 cams but I guess it sounds better to some to tout it like it's something, er, different. Hold on, 1977? And the mileage is..?

This came through the email earlier, highlighted because the seller was too lazy to put 3 zeros after the 110 miles

As 'upgrades' go I'd say the buyer of the 406 gets the better deal

Seller sounds exhausted by the never ending requirement to spend large
amounts of money on it.

This was on Farcebook a while ago and there was a fair bit of interest - however I believe there were a few issues..

406's seem to be getting very thin on the ground now, during our recent 2,500 mile trip round Scotland and Yorkshire I didn't see another one, saw a couple down here when we got home though. There are a few for sale on the net but mostly the same ones by different advertisers. Changed the injectors on mine before we went and averaged 62.8 mpg - driving mostly at no more than than 60 mph or 2000 rpm.

Going back a few years, if you were to type in 406 on eBay to look for a second hand one - there would be pages and pages of them. Last time I looked there was about 10 for sale....
Either there are not many left, or the people that own one are hanging onto it as it's worth more to them than it would be to sell it...

That 406 that Wiggy posted up - it's way overpriced..! I've now had 7 406s ( 2 of which were donor cars ) and if I add together what I paid for them all, it's still less than that low mileage example would cost me...

I assume the amount of them falling it's to do with the cost of a new clutch and flywheel. When you have a car that's only worth £400 or £500 a lot of people won't see the point of paying £500+ to have a new one fitted.

That's the way it goes. Newest is 14 years old. I've lost count of the times I've thought to myself...
