Rear electric windows -- very slow

Evening all!

Been noticing the rear electric windows slowing down over the last year or so on my 406, especially since the inner doors and underside were waxoyled when it last went to the body shop. I'm assuming the waxoyl has got onto some bit of the window mechanism, but I'm not sure. If anyone with more experience with the electric windows would like to shed a bit of light on it for me, I'd be very grateful!

I know on many cars it's the window rubber seals around the glass that kinda grab the glass and slow it down. Could try some silicone rubber lubricant?

+ 2 for silicone lubricant. Just spray it into the channels.

I've given that a go, but I dont think its the rubber causing excess friction to be honest. When its all the way down, it can be as slow as half an inch of movement per second, sometimes taking 15+ seconds from bottom to top.

Are both sides the same? Are they getting the full voltage (or something close anyway?) I would've thought Waxoyl could only help them work, unless the whole mechanism is choked with the stuff...
