From 8th April 2019 any vehicle driving within the 'congestion charge zone' will also need to meet the new Ultra Low Emissions Zone standards (basically Euro 4 for Pez engines, Euro 6 for Dizzles) otherwise you'll need to pay £12.50 daily charge on top of the £11.50 congestion charge!
Just checked the below on their website https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra- ... ecker-ulez
Volvo 2.5 turbo petrol; meets the ULEZ standard
Our works Toyoyo Alphard pez Hybrid; does NOT meet the standard

Our DV6 doesn't comply so I'm guessing all 406's are effectively barred from central London on the basis of cost.
Shockingly, in Oct 2020 they're increasing the "zone" to the whole of greater London (anywhere inside the North and South Circular) so lots of car owners will be buggered in 18 months time especially dizzles which must be Euro 6.
On a more cereal note, you can all see where this is heading can't you? the car thing I mean

You are still aloud to fart in central London but it must be no more than 120 microlitres in volume and must not emit an obnoxious odour.

Wot, no cars at all? Miles of dead electric cars queuing up to use a handful of power points? Or instead of investing in public transport, make private transport prohibitively expensive forcing people to use public transport regardless of how expensive/unreliable/revolting it is? Who'd have thought it?
