Where to find schedule of torque wrench settings...?
Guys,
I've been looking on the internet for a schedule of torque wrench settings for my 1999 D8 V6 - nothing.
I sent a politely worded request to 3 x local Peugeot dealers asking whether they could provide the details - one said they didn't have the information (really...?) and the other two said precisely nothing!
It shouldn't be this difficult to find this fundamental information - seems to me, it would be easier to get an invite to tea and sticky buns from Her Majesty the Queen. Bless her, she has enough going on.
Can anyone help with this please?

Indeed, is there something specific you need? There's a Haynes for the D8 (I have one, er, somewhere) but it doesn't cover the V6, but I also have a .pdf of a repair manual in French which does, measurements seem to be in daN.m, whatever that is
Ah, deca newton meters, of course it is

Hi
Thanks for coming back - if you're able to share the French workshop manual that would be marvellous, thank you. I need engine torque settings for all the cambelt stuff, engine mountings and clutch.
Then shortly, I will need the torque settings for driveshafts, suspension arms, drop links, brake calipers and suspension struts.
I'm also in need of a RH top engine mount - NLS from Peugeot UK
Best regards

I have both in .pdf format but I don't know how I can get them to you (the Haynes is 1 continuous document, basically someone shoved a book in a scanner, but the French one is a folder full and looks like it came like that). Maybe Dropbox, something like that? The last time I tried it didn't like the format.
I took a screenshot of the ES9J4 torque settings, the units are a bit weird as I said, but it's basically Nm/10, checking the first thing I came across, a cylinder head bolt for a 1.6, the French says for the 1st pass 6 daN.m while the Haynes says 60Nm or 44lbf ft.

If you sign up at https://public.servicebox-parts.com, and then click on this link:
http://public.servicebox-parts.com/dtt/ ... 2_2001.zip
You could get handbook which contain various torque settings (particularly for the engine). It's actually a Citroen handbook, so anything not related to the engine may not be applicable in Peugeot (406).
And also as mentioned by steve_earwig, the torque specification is listed in m.daN (1 m.daN = 10 Nm).

Hmm... it didn't kicked me out. I'm also not a paying servicebox user. Did you try to sign in first? Because it needs to be in signed in order to download that handbook
If anybody else can't get the handbook through servicebox, maybe I'll upload it here. But since I don't know how legal it is to redistribute the handbook, I would prefer if anyone can get it straight from the source

Sadly, no
The only useful stuff I can get from servicebox right now is that handbook
I decided to upload this to Google Drive anyway: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_ziYi6 ... sp=sharing

Hmm, 90 minutes later it still said 3 hours so I restarted it and it said 37 hours... I think it's having a nightmare because of the size of some of the files I'm trying to upload

Where did you upload it into? I think there's something wrong if a file that are only several MBs is taking that long to upload
