John, have you yet featured in the Car Wars series in S.Yorkshire on TV....there's a lot of stuff on,Sky 3 has similar programming,i.e. Street Wars as well......seems half the country is permanently off their heads in one way or another, hope I dont encounter one of those knob-heads in untaxed,uninsured,un-this un-that car,and probably stolen to boot. I am continually amazed at the apparent soft ,almost polite, treatment handed out to a lot of these toerags on the road by the police...the recipients mostly showing no respect whatsoever.

Would have featured on chopper coppers and there was glimpse of me in the control room.
Our officers are extremely keen at getting untaxed unisured vehicles recovered as an average atleast 15 aday across the district and local council have jumped on the band wagon they are also recoverying them.

Imagine,if you could, that this scene could be enacted in a town in GB.......it
would generate it's very own TV programme ! It's compulsive viewing though.

A guy I work with has been trying for months to get Liverpool (I think) Council, the police, or the DVLA to shift a wreck of a van that parks right outside his house for days on end. You can see it (and nothing else really) from his webcam - there's no way it's got an MOT and it's not got a tax disc either...
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
