cheap 53 plate 406 s hdi on e-bay only 30k?

Post by robconnors1977 »

what do you all reckon to this

ebay item 150116443554

53 plate 406 hdi s with only 30k - he says it still has 6 months warranty and a full history - seems cheap at ony £4500. Tempted as i am thinking of changing my y plate 406 for a newer one and this would be perfect as i use it for a cab. trouble is when i bought my presant one with 30k on it 4 years ago. The true mileage turned out to be 130k. so been stung before and that had a fsh!! - although got 2 grand compo back from the garage. But its now done 237k (trouble free!!) and i need a new one. What do you all think?

Would probably be good for a taxi and with only 90bhp, good fuel and no blasted DMF that everyone moans about.

And already comes with a Welton panel :D

Looks good to me. Good mileage for the price.

They are reporting in my local paper of a huge rise in car clocking and especially cars sold over the interweb.

It seems buyers think they are geting a bargain and agree a sale based on either a forged Service Book or the promiss of the Service History to be posted on in a few days because the previous keeper has it.

Seems that because its so easy to clock a car now and generally hide its age (new pedal rubbers/steering wheel/gear knob etc) that this crime is escallating like mad.

When I bought the FTO I had to drive 140 miles to view it and although it was a genuine car I was not that pleased with it's condition and would normally have looked at a few more. It had been really well serviced though so I bought it but more because I had driven all that way :|

in the D9 or any mux psa car, the BSi will log a fault saying the mileage has been manipulated, erasing the code will put the original mileage up
