Has your seat belt carved a slot like this?
Just wondered, that's all.........

Nope?
That seems pretty weird to me - you sure you are wearing it adjusted right?

I remember my saloon having that problem. No matter how I adjusted the height, it always seemed to sit in the same place, carving away at the plastic!
Not sure if it's the same on the coupe, bu the seat belt is a bit further back in that (fells like it's in another town when i reach for it!)

Nah, I need the seat fairly far back so I don't have that problem
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

yup mines like that too, my other 2 '6s were the same too, the volvo S40/V40 and 850 suffer very badly with this, also the 480 has a stupid seat belt guide that sticks out towards the driver and always breaks off, its such a shite design

Probably the same with me - Being 6'2 means that I sit pretty far back, probably not an issue. The previous owners of my car I think were pretty tall too!

Seems to me to be something to do with the position of the seat not the seat belt
I always drive my cars with the seat all the way back as im just over 6ft 2 inch tall and i have never had that problem on any cars, but the missus is only 5ft 3inch and all her belts have cut into the plastic on her cars
Hence she is not driving mine

Nice excuse, at the minute am getting ways with "the insurance is too expensive" as she only passed her test last year. But i'll save that one for later use
