Never had any problems with it and i have used for all sorts of stuff - even buying and selling over seas through Ebay etc, never had a problem withdrawing funds or depositing funds,

only thing to watch is that you have to register an email account as well - to which you will get emails saying they are from paypal - THEY ARE NOT - do not reply to them or click any links on them - if you do you will find your paypal account emptied in seconds

No problems so far.

More and more dealers seem to be using this method. Very handy.

Yeah good point, I get several of these a week, sometimes 2 or 3 a day! :frown:

Learned to spot them now though, so i just delete them without even openning them! :P

Simple rule when using paypal

Email from PayPal - No matter how authentic it looks - DELETE IT

if PayPal wont to get hold of you for any reason they will write to your registered address :P

Ive been using PayPal for years, ever since i started to use Ebay - my feedbackon ebay now running into the hundres and still 100% positive, all you have to remember is a few simple rules and you will be fine

1. Never reply to emails sent from Paypal (or not as the case may be)
2. Never click the links in emails that look as if they are from Paypal
3. Never reply to text messages that appear to have come from PayPal if you registered your mobile number
4. Always check that the sellers have a validated address before sending money
5. If sellers appear not to have a valid address, email them first to check that they are cosha
6. If in doubt then dont do it. its that simple

follow these very simple rules and you will be fine.

:arrowu: I echo Gus's post to the letter....I too have 100% f/b and been on ebay for 4 years and no P/P problems at all:It's NOT an ebay-exclusive ,it can be used to pay or receive funds from anyone with a valid email address so long as it's registered, and not just in the UK (I recently purchased some DVD's from the States using paypa,as well as some 406 body graphics from Viper, online)...Refunds are used in the bame fashion, but in reverse. Just keep to Gus's tips and I dont you'd go far wrong, basically. Apart from the nominated email address, you'd need also to give details of the current bank account from which funds would be debited from/credited to.

I used to have 100% but some mofo refunded my money and gave me an unpaid item strike.... FFS! ! ! !

He had the cash... £128 and 2 days later he refunded it because my paypal account was unconfirmed.... this is because it was opened the day I purchased the item... I explained this but some eBayers are just wankers !

Unfortunatly Niz you are right - there are some really evil people around who will take great pleasure in taking the money of genuine people and have no intention of sending anything in return.

Paypal is a really fantastic tool if used properly and not abused, but as we all know there will always be some W%&k£r around who will attempt to spoil for the majority of honest people.
