Thanks to a little winfall with the bank (not a loan) I just got me this little number:

She's a 2L petrol. More or less what I had before, just in coupe form.
More photos once the weather improves!
Suffice to say, I have a very large grin on my face right now.

Nice one, make sure you join the Coupe club(if you haven't already). That smile would be twice as wide if it were a V6

Not with the tax bill and upkeep costs it wouldn't.
I deliberately chose the 2l. There was a 3L V6 on the go in the same colour and all the toys... but the running costs and tax would cripple me.
This way, the running costs remain more or less the same and I have a sporty looking ride
She's absolutely mint inside and out with full peugeot service history.

Very nice. The tax bill for a pre-March'01 V6 would have been the same though
But I guess the engine wouldn't last as long...
Actually does this mean that at 164k, I've now got the highest petrol mileage here? ;)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Very nice Bluey - i am thinking of going down the same route - don't really need four doors anymore and as per you, if i keep the same engine size then the running costs will be the same but with a bigger smile on my face when i'm driving

Nice car mate
Might be tempted by the HDi Coupe next year unless I go German executive diesel.

Nope, the saloon is sitting outside. Once I valet her, she's going to a good friend for nowt. He's been there for me in times of need, time I repaid the favour.
