Stealer dealer

Post by TooT »

For the past, i dunno, 6 weeks theres been a Diablo Red 406 on a 52 plate sat on my local Pug dealerships forecourt priced at £5995  Now, i dont know what spec or what engine it is but its something like a Rapier or GTX because it has alloys but cloth interior, but whatever it is, 6 grand is too much.

Anyway today i drove past and having a lookie to see what they have and the same 6 is still there but priced at £3995  Wtf, how the hell can they just drop the price 2 grand just like that. It was'nt a gradual drop thats just one drop of 2000 pounds

Sale? Desperate for the forecourt space? Realised something's seriously wrong with it?

Well your not going to get 6 bags for a 5 year old 406 are you.

I reckon they've stuck it out there hoping some poor stupid sod will buy it and then make them feel oh-so special by giving them 500 notes off the price and then all the salesmen will piss themselves laughing watching it drive away

Hell, if you could get £20 notes to puff out of the exhuast an all that, what a laugh.

I've seen it before they just put it out there and see what happens, if nothing, drop the price to what it should be :|

No one can be that daft to buy a car without checking the prices across the market or even in a price guide.

But saying that tho there must be people out there otherwise the dealer wouldnt have ago would they.

£200.00 off :!: WOO HOO I'll buy it :cheesy: 8)

Now then, if I take the finance option over 14 years, yes £96.00 a month, I can just about stretch to that, OK then, so the final purchase price will be £7,629.00 8)

4k isn't too bad for a decent spec 5 year old car, has only done 30k so low mileage.

I do my best no to keep up with what mine is now worth, too depressing!
