My xD picture card reader won't read - any advice?

I just bought a 512MB picture memory card and stuffed it with about 100 'picters' from me Hols and the fecking reader won't read it.

You can see the pics on the digi camera but not from the reader.

Any help guys? (her indoors going mad)

Errrm, does the card reader need drivers, if so are they installed properly.

Have you tried rebooting the pooter?

Silly question can you not just plug the camera into the PC?

Usally there is a small connector like the middle one shown in the picture below : - (or did you buy a cheap camera)

If there is go to PC World and ask one of the spotty teengagers to give you a lead (see picture below): -

Then simply plug the camera into the your PC and then follow the wizard to download the pictures, if your camera does not have a USb connector then your best bet is to but another card reader.

does your card have a slidy thing on the side that stops you
from doing things with it

The camera is an Olympus Camedia C-350. It is a bit old now I suppose and doesn't have a USB type connector. It does have a yellow phono type video out plug.

The thing is, the reader will read the smaller 16MB card fine it just won't read the (otherwise identical) 512MB.
