Guys, I don't really want to be a Mod on here.

I'm happy as I am really, I do post alot here but I like the crack mainly.

In my opinion the job should be awarded to DaiRees. He has done far more usefull things for the club.

DaiRees has organised the only meet, all the stickers (with Bluey) and is a mature nice guy.

My dedication to the 406 is fading and it will make me a bit of a fraud eventually.

I'd rather stay as I am because I know I can't dedicate enough time and effort to the important things needed here.

I hope you all understand and I won't go anywhere I promiss. And I'm not chickening out I just can't support the important things here I feel.

Steve.

everybody here knows you post mostly useless crap about the car, since you hate it so much ... :P :cheesy: hahaha *joke* !!
i guess it's okay if you feel that you're not the right person for the job !! .... i admire that.

i suppose you won't utilize your 'post whore' title as much as if you're not moderating the forum. :cheesy:

Would just like to thank Welly for his extremely honest and well put post better

this way than take the job and not put any effort into it just so as not to upset

ppl's feelings thanks welly... As regards his suggestion of Dai doing it I am

only a recent member of this forum but was lucky enough to attend the meet that

Dai organised so have met him personally thought he was a great guy ( as were

neil and cpt jack ) and he should be commended for organising it and having the club

stickers made and distributing them. a guy who also likes a laugh but can have a serious

head when he needs to Yes i think he would make a good moderator.... But would

also like to mention james his knowledge and informed help i have found invaluable

as have a lot of others a wonderful asset to this forum If the two of them agree

perhaps a vote would be the best way....

ps and mefinks welly is to bizy jizzing over the pics e took wen e woz soakin up de rays :cheesy:

pps first one to offer me a v6 gets my vote :P

Thanks for your replies...and thanks puggy..for writing.. the .. most illegible post..ever.. with excessive use of ... pauses.

So, a contest then between Dai and James eh??

It shouldn't cause anyone any hard feelings though. Which is why I said what I said.

How about a poll with all volunteers, rather than the likes of the "Vote for Welly or not vote for Welly". I agree that Dai (If he's up for it that is) would be a good moderator, and couldn't be put better than puggy's words. But also that James has been a very valuable asset to the forum with his extensive mechanical knowledge.

And what James doesn't know, his father does, and what they both don't know, isn't worth knowing!

+1 for the nomination of DaiRees!

For someone to send out a 406oc.co.uk sticker to the other side of the globe is a champ in my books. Not too sure if he wants to take the position himself, but seriously - a vital part of this forum!

Awwwww, brings a tear to your eye doesn't it

Seriously though, I wouldn't mind, lets face it I basically live on here anyway and I've no intention of getting rid of my 406 for a good while yet. Plus I like to think I'm reasonably well balanced and sensible (since I've stopped taking the prozac anyway! ).

But I'm not about to enter into a celebrity death match over this, if James or anyone else wants it that's fine with me. I also voted for welly, 'tis a shame he's not up for it, I reckon he'd be good.

So in summary, I'll gladly do it if you want, 'tis up to the admin and the rabble.

I would just like the ability to edit other peoples posts. I'd quite like a non-executive position which gives me these rights but without all the glory

I've just realised. If I was a Moderator I could have deleted those tacky filthy posts from some spacktard in the Welcome area. They're still on here and let the side down I feel.

*wonders if he made a rash decision*

Maybe there could be 2 mods, I might be more inclined to agree then (in a wimpy, hide-behind the other Mod sort of way)

Maybe that's taking the mick a bit though :|
