Im not going to keep my 6 for another year (ive had it over 2 years which is a long time for me)
Ive always had it planned that i would change it next spring but now shes got a fresh MOT would it be a wise idea to maybe get shot now for a little bit more money than what i would get next year?
Put it in the paper for a silly price, if it goes, wayhay! If it don't then it's next year. Cars sell easier in the spring too so I wouldn't sweat it too hard.

Yeah, sure, don't forget to add the 25% of their estimated value import tax, plus 22% tax. And don't forget that RHD cars sell like stone cold cakes with mould on.

I have to say here that although I have moaned about my car's reliability I can honestly say it's going to be extremely hard to replace.
I too am thinking of changing next year and have been considering a VW Passat 2.5V6 TDi and chipping it up a bit.
Ultimately I have come from sporty petrols but I have warmed to Diesels more than I ever thought possible and I am now considering a multi-cylinder Diesel (just to here that lovely tickover).
Trouble is I have this niggling doubt that those german seats are going to be too hard and possible the handling may be a bit squiffy?
The 406 is a quirky, loveable thing and I never fail to enjoy flopping into the drivers seat and piloting the thing.
I cannot think of ANY other car I have owned that I may actually miss and find my self seeking out another within months.
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
Im getting twitchy so went car mooching this weekend.
Went to look at a one owner 02 Octavia VRS, quite nice but a little bit standy outy for me, and white carpets, what the hell are they thinking. The search goes on........
