Hi folks, just looking around at other forums for tips and stuff (it's that or watch Midsommer yawn Murders).
Lubricate your locks! Or if your remote goes up the swanny you might find you can't get into your pride and joy.
Jump starting: most cars are packed with ECUs and many of the don't take kindly to the sort of swift voltage changes you get with jump leads. Disconnecting them can be just as dodgy, if you must leave them connected for a full 3 minutes. The recommendation seems to be throw your jump leads away & never have anything to do with them again.
Garages ofen top gearboxes up with the wrong oil. (oh, surely not!)
http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?c ... ol_failure - huh?
The OE shoes for the drums-in-disks are hidiously expensive. I've seen one thread where someone says the best way to make them work is to roll down a hill with the handbrake half on, another that says if you drive with the handbrake on they will disintigrate...
To remove the petrol flap just open it up and give it a pull - don't try this at home!
HDi lower engine mount prone to failure. Modified on later cars.
Yay!! Midsumma's finished!
Have a nice weekend!
Stuff & some nonsense.

Post whore? Is it my turn in the barrel??
I don't know many people who speak much English here and I'm a bit of a dunce in the language department so there's no-one I can talk to about cars, not even my g/f, who can speak 4 languages (car not being one of them). So I'm afraid this forum and yous guys are recieving the full brunt of my internal combustion frustration...
