old age

Post by bloodredwarlock »

i'm getting sick of the sight of saxo/corsa, chav chariots. I seen a guy in dunfermline the other day with subtlety modded nova and thought i looked sweet and different. This seems to be a recurring theme with me at the moment been looking at late 80's early 90's motors and think they look better than the unimaginative bubble mobiles that are on the roads today. Then it dawns on me i'm only turning 25 in january and i'm talking like an old man or my dad. Plz say i'm not they only one that most cars now days are drawn with the outline of a protractor.

Yeah, I´m with you on this one. Don´t like them fibreglass transformers at all. They´re a bore. Lookin´all the same.

Few weeks back saw a beautiful gold -coloured b-type Opel Kadett coupé with original rims and in perfect conditition. Remebered my dad havin´one of those. Sniff. Made my head turn a whole 360 degrees on my shoulders at the supermarket parking lot. No tuning "rice cup´s" gonna do that...for sure.

Designed by computer mate - best airflow, best strength from least weight, smallest outside with biggest inside - the logical shape is a bubble. You even get a little lift too, paradoxically...

I thought all cars were looking the same when they brought out the Sierra, Cavalier etc. jelly mould cars, and you think you're old!

I'd love an original unmolested Escort RS Turbo 1991 H reg (slight facelift) in black 8)

I also like the 1990 325i Sport

Cars I hankered after as I was in my 20's but couldn't afford them  I can afford them now but finding one that hasn't been Barried or smashed to f*ck is very difficult.

On the subject of Marriage, kids etc. I always love the battles between man and woman about the family car  SHE wants something practical that looks like a greenhouse on wheels, HE wants something sporty and mean looking to show off to other Dads that he's not a pushover.

The compromise is a Vauxhall Zafira GSi  I saw one at the weekend, all cleaned up, dressed tyres, Dad driving, Wife sitting, Kids in back, all with fairground faces. What a picture of contentment all round
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work

She must be a real basket case if the greedy divorce lawyers don't want her!

Sod the A-Pillar, it's the screaming kids that'd make you hit the artic!
Sorry to hear your troubles bloodredwarlock, my wife is getting over post natal depression and it's been a challenging few months
She tried to cure herself using homeopathic medicine which failed miserably & nearly ended our marriage. Getting better now she's on the jolly tablets thank goodness!

Hey Steve, it's trying to find a pub that doesn't play dum dum music! All the descent watering holes around here have been turned into wine bars, even the mucky duck which used to be an excellent bikers pub with good music

If you want dum dum music you should come here! They had rock music here once but it's gone all ethnic and silly, or there's pop music (i.e. singing over the top of 80's pop or home-made drivel.) It's a good job I don't drink or it'd drive me to it.

You should go on a pup crawl, I'm sure they'll get better as you go along... :)
