Well yes, but I'd rather eat my own testicles than buy one of those.

Seriously, £30k for a tarted-up iQ? f*ck that noise.

This...

I do like the DB7 - it is a truly gorgeous design - but they have so much Ford switchgear in them that it cheapens the experience. Also a bit of a pain to use the stereo...

Personal experience, Lord Waue? Something you're not telling us here, sir?
The shape is just gorgeous, without a shadow of a doubt one of the most beautiful cars ever made. I do have to agree with Waue though, the contrast between how nice the leather looks and the switchgear and wood which look about as good as the faux wood in my pug and the switchgear from a '97 mondeo I was in a couple of weeks ago just make it feel less special. And after all an Aston is supposed to make you feel special, make every trip an occasion I guess. :|

Now this... Imagine sticking a 2.2 Bi-tub diesel in one of those with modern suspension and brakes off something like a new C5. The looks on Audi drivers' faces then..

Used to have a few friends in the used car trade (although only 1 of them that I would now buy a car from with confidence) & as such I got to experience some of the more expensive items from the motoring world. Sometimes nice, but mostly highlighted how some things may be nice to aspire to, but not so good to live with on an everyday basis.

Highlights (or low-lights) were:

the Lotus Elise that gave you chronic pins & needles in the right leg as it was pressed against the body which vibrated too much for comfort.

the Porsche 911 Carerra with the gearchange buttons on the steering wheel which were completely useless as the gearbox would change gear for you before you could change up yourself on hard acceleration.

the rare manual gearbox DB7 which felt more like an upmarket Mondeo coupe from inside & battered my knuckles changing into 1st, 3rd & 5th(although it did go well).

Wasn't all bad though. The M3 Evo convertible (with mustard interior) I could find no fault with whatsoever. Boot was a bit small due to the space taken up by the roof stowing, but wasn't bothered about boot space at the time that I had a go in that.

Id love that, its like the old go-carts you make out of an old pram. But its a nice simple old car, the beetle is an alternative but they look horrible. Is 425cc all the engine in the 2cv it sounds a bit weedy, here is one of the later ones:

this one is very rare, that dash must have been amazing when it was new:
