Same to you and yours!

I dunno, I don't expect anything from Christmas, I just hope the car's ok, none of the animals get sick and the c/h don't go bang. Looking at the tv guide we're going to need to find something else to do but at least communism's finished and they don't cut the power off for Christmas day any more...

Oh look, Home Alone's on yet again. I wish just for once Joe Pesci would drop into Goodfella's mode and stab the little pr!ck with a pen...

I hate xmas.

Having to live off whatever crap out-of-date food they sell in the corner shop because the supermarkets are jammed all day (and night), and the worst part by far - having to deal with drunk drivers.

I'm not looking forward to the drive to/from Wolverhampton on Tuesday
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Merry x-mas to you all...

Will be working a triple nightshift over christmas (going in tomorrow night)...so...wife and the boys are tearing the gift wraps at my parents 200km away. :(

Well at least I managed to escape from the "supermarket-madness", so I guess I´m doin alright. Just opened a can of ale and Hank Williams is singing "My Son Calls Another Man Daddy" on my stereo....(the recording is in mono.Naturally.)

Enjoy the holidays, fellow car owners!!!!

Ditto mine but it'll have to wait 'til the temperature goes above freezing (that'll be March then :( )

I just went to my local Morrisons to pick up a few bits.

I drove into the carpark, turned the car round and drove out of the carpark.

Mayhem :x

Merry bloody Christmas.

My way: Buy everything a week before christmas, freeze stuff like bread.
Her way: Buy most things 4 days before christmas, get everything else on christmas eve. She won't be told either

Great, I have to work XMAS eve - its going to be pure mayhem with everyone trying to get what they want at the last minute. I reckon its the night of the year where you could double prices and people would still pay it :P

Merry XMAS everyone and have a great new year,

Yup! I used to work in a jewellers, obviously totally mad at this time of year. One Christmas Eve a bloke came staggering in just as we were closing, he'd made his way from the pub accross the road when he saw the shutters starting to come down on the shop, nothing like last minute shopping, literally  . Anyway he slurred "give me something for the wife butt...." and dumped a handful of crumpled notes on the counter. I counted it up, £400!, and asked if he wanted a watch, necklace, ring maybe? "I dunno, just give me something nice". £399.50 for a gold necklace and he was on his way back to the pub with the advice not to spend the change all at once. I often wonder whether that necklace ever made it home, and if his wife thought it was a beautiful, well considered gift, or just hit him with a frying pan  .

Merry Christmas everyone, one more sleep to go!

You should have rushed into the wash room, ripped the chain off the sink and sold him that for £400...

I went to the tesco garage this morning. 200 yard walk yet I manage to get run over by a drunk driver. I get off the bonnet, open the door to smell the stench of morning-after and was about to drag the guy out and kick his head in when a copper comes over and throws me to the floor.

A bit of shouting later and the copper threatens to arrest me while the drunk driver drives off without the copper even turning his head to look at the reg

f*cking piece of sh*t copper scumbags

The amount of times I had to take evasive action yesterday was fun too. and not a single f*cking copper on the roads.

Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.
