a mate of mine is after a Peugeot 206 gti but hasn't got a clue if there any good or not any ideas i told him to get a 406 coupe

good cars, need alot of maintaining tho to keep in top notch condition.
if you want to play with the engine get the gti, if you just want it standard go for the gti180 (if he can afford the insurance of course).
very nice cars, and uber quick round the lanes :)

I've only ever driven a GTi 180 and they handle bloody well and have decent straight line speed! I've been thinking about getting one for my next car but I'm turned off bigtime by the weirdo driving position and the crap pedal placement. If you want somthing which can eat up motorway miles in comfort - look elsewhere! They get the usual problems etc...check this aussie site out - some of it mightn't be relevant due to the aussie specs etc but it gives a good guide :)
